Project Overview

Our client was renovating her forever home in preparation for retirement and wanted to create a more comfortable, energy efficient living environment. As part of a number of home improvements, replacing the existing windows and doors with high performance double glazing was at the top of her list.

The project involved replacing all 10 windows and doors in her single-storey unit with our thermally broken aluminium double glazed systems.

The Challenge

The home faces west, making it susceptible to overheating during the warmer months. The existing windows offered poor thermal performance, resulting in an uncomfortable indoor environment throughout the year.

The client was also looking for a solution that would allow fresh air to circulate through the home while maintaining security when she was away.

The Solution

We installed thermally broken aluminium double-glazed windows and doors to significantly improve the home's thermal performance. All replacement windows were specified as awning windows and fitted with our premium stainless steel insect screens, allowing the homeowner to safely leave selected windows open for natural ventilation while enjoying added security and insect protection.

The new glazing system now helps keep the home cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and more comfortable all year round.

Installation Process

All existing windows and doors were carefully removed before the new thermally broken aluminium systems were installed. To maximise energy efficiency, each frame was fitted using low expanding insulation foam to eliminate air gaps, followed by high quality external caulking to provide a durable, weatherproof seal and a clean, professional finish.

Careful attention to detail throughout the installation ensured the new windows and doors delivered both outstanding performance and a seamless appearance.

The Result

The completed project has transformed the home's comfort, energy efficiency, and overall liveability. The client now enjoys a home that remains cooler during summer, warmer throughout winter, and benefits from improved ventilation without compromising security.
